i want to use my access file in my red so different users could use it and add information but how do i do that

Hi
There are several possible answers here. If you have a small database that is not very important, simply putting it in a shared folder should be ok. If you need security etc, there are several threads in these forums. You could also look up networks in the FAQs. Hope I have understood what you want. If not, a little more detail would be good.

i want my users to be able of changing the data and saving it with out any problem

Hi
What operating system are you using (eg Windows 95, Windows XP Pro)? What version of Access are you using? :)

Hi
Please excuse the questions.
Have you tried putting a copy of your database
in a shared folder?
If so, did it work?
If it did not work, what error messages did you get?
Is your database very important? If so, you will need to look at security. If you search the Microsoft: Access Other Topics forum181 FAQ for Security, you will find lots of information (eg faq181-3893 ) that will help you decide the level of security you need.

yes i did put it on my network however when a user opens it and another user wants to use the forms it says that the file is already open and that it can't be saved

Ok! So have a look at Tools->Options, on the Advanced tab, is Default Open Mode set to Shared? Are all your users set up as admins? (The questions will stop, eventually!)
