Postgres Installation under Kubuntu

Hello,

i have some problems with my kubuntu and postgres installation.

i install postgres and creat a new user "ubu", a new database "ubu" and want to connect via

psql -h localhost ubu ubu

but now i asked to enter a password but i dont have any ;(

well look at your /etc/postgresql/8.1/main/pg_hba.conf

(if the version is different the location will be different)

and change the values bellow so that you trust localhost (you will have to /etc/init.d/postgresql reload)

or delete the user and create it with password - dropuser ubu; createuser -P ubu
