I have a program to reply the spams automatically. After days, I found my postfix email server running very slowly, I checked the mail queue and saw a lot of email stuck there. I think there 2 reasons cause the problem

1, Postfix are trying to connect those domains which are not available until time-out, it cost a lot of time. ( can I set the time-out or other way to avoid that happen)
2, Postfix saves undeliverable email to deferred queue and resend again later would also time consuming ( can I set postfix not to save email to deferred queue)

I appreciate anyone who could give me any lead to slove the 2 probelms.

I'd say Postfix is doing what it is supposed to do, trying to deliver your emails. The better solution would be to check that the recipient domain(s) exists before sending them anything.

My question here is probably why would you reply to spammers? It just creates even more burden to your own mail server, and will more then likely not yield any good results anyway. The spammers, if they'd actually receive your email, would they actually do something about things, or would they just send you even more spam?
