Hello,

I've been running a suse postfix+amavisd+clamav+spamassassin for a few years now. It has served very well but at the moment, it's developed a problem that is driving me round the bend. :unsure:

I have the following RBL config.
Code:
smtpd_client_restrictions = permit_mynetworks, permit_sasl_authenticated, reject_rbl_client bl.spamcop.net, reject_rbl_client sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org,  reject_rbl_client list.dsbl.org

The problem is that when I start postfix, all is fine and running quickly <_< . But if I try connecting to port 25 a 10-15 minutes later, the connection just hangs but does eventually gives me a 220 greeting. The hang gets longer and longer as time goes by until connections just time out.

If I then just use the following config to remove the RBL features, it's fine..
Code:
smtpd_client_restrictions = permit_mynetworks, permit_sasl_authenticated
But adding either one of those three RBL's results in the connection problem again.

I've been all through the logs but the only errors being thrown are...
Code:
Sep 6 10:17:54 spamc[27440]: skipped message, greater than max message size (256000 bytes)
Sep  6 10:17:55 spamd[26572]: Day '36' out of range 1..31 at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/Mail/SpamAssassin/Util.pm line 429

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong please?
