Hello all.

I have a Postfix server running RedHat 9.0. It is sending and receiving email just fine to and from other email servers outside our intranet.

The problem is that I have another server running M$ exchange that I need to be able to send emails to as well. While I can receive mail from this server, I can't send mail to it.

Whenever I try and send mail to an email address that is hosted by this server the Linux box seems to have trouble knowing which of my servers is the email server. It is trying to connect on port 25 to the servers I have set up as the dns servers or to our web server.

I checked the mx record in my dns server and it is set up correctly.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I fixed the problem. It ended up being a problem with the MX record on the internal DNS server.
