In Microsoft Great Plains, I clicked "Post" but forgot to click "Post to General Ledger"

Is there a way to post it to the general ledger? or does it do it anyway?

Thanks,
Miranda

Where did you click Post and where did you not click Post to General Ledger?

Can you give more information?

If this is just in Setup-Posting-Posting, that means it will create general ledger entries but not post automatically. General Ledger batches (Transactions-Financial-Batches) will be created for you to post.

If the Inventory transaction has not posted to the GL, I would just manually create the journal to make adjustments.

You can use VBA to ensure that the Post to General Ledger option for Inventory Batch is always on.

It is for inventory, when creating the batch, I remember changing the date, but I am not sure if I clicked the box that said "post to general ledger"

The reason I am thinking I didn't post to general ledger is because it is leaving an amount in the QTY Allocated instead of the QTY available section.

In about 5 entries it asked if I wanted to override three of them, and those are the ones left in QTY Allocated section

Is there a way to tell if the batch was posted to the GL?

Thank you for your help,
Miranda

What you're describing doesn't have anything to do with posting to the GL. You can check if it posted to the GL by looking at the account (Inquiry-Financial-Detail) that should have been hit. For instance, the inventory account.

What kind of transaction was it? What were you trying to do?
