Postcode Anywhere style code

Is it possible for anyone to tell me where I can get a basic or cheap Postcode Anywhere software. What I am looking at is software that users can enter in their own postcode and the result displays answers and the distance from their given location,like the Store Locators used by Retailers.

Help appreciated.

I find the one at google maps to be reliable for my needs:

Maybe you can do something with their API?
