i received an email that said someone sent me an electronic postcard. it was in html and looked like a valid emal with appropriate links and format.
however, i decided to view the sources because the email came into my business email account & i doubted a businesss associate would send such a card.
viewing the source revealed the hidden bit of code for the link: 129.8.120.195 / postcard.jpg.exe
first off this link would launch an executable - a dead give away of a virus.
secondly, i traced the IP & it belonged to California State University @ Fresno; not what one would consider a commercial site.
just thought i would pass this warning along.
