postal code field

I was trying to make a user input field in Acro5 that would only allow a postal code and would convert it to proper format on field exit, but didn't have any luck. The input filter would have to accept letter,number,letter,number, letter, number. so as an example :

"n3j4t6" would be valid and would convert to "N3J 4T6"

any help would be appreciated.
