Hello People,
I have a customer who has a 4602ip phone, it is not easy to guide someone over the phone to input values however she was quite good.
The issue with the phone is that it is saying "bad router" there is an identical phone right next to her with static values inputted. I told her to reboot the phone that is working and press * to program so we could see these values. We coped the values like for like into the phone not working apart from the phone IP address itself, I did a scan of the network and found a spare.
The values were then saved and the phone went to "finding router" before timing out after a minute and saying "bad router" I told her to press * to program and the router(G/W) has returned back to "0.0.0.0" Before ruling out the phone could have an issue I told her to switch the working phone into the socket with the bad phone and it worked as normal.
With the non working phone in a different socket I told her to check the values again by pressing *, she then input the correct default gateway address in again for about the 5th time. Saved the values and it went to finding router again, before timing out and saying "bad router" For the last time I asked to confirm whether the router details were still there and she said they had retured back to "0.0.0.0"
I am now 95% sure the phone must be faulty, as it was previously working and stopped all of a sudden. Any advice would be great.
Thanks,
Chris
