Possible -z combreloc ?

After doing some reading here
I see the new binutils 2.13.1 and gcc 3.2.1 will be used in 5.0 Release.
Will it be possible to use -z combreloc or prelinking. I couldn't find any
info on libc to see if it is supported or not.
I am currently using 5.0RC2 and when I run ld --help |grep combreloc I see it is supported but not sure how to check and see if combreloc is actually working.

Any help or info is appreciated.
