I'm getting reports of systems loosing their domain registration automaticall and reverting to a local workgroup. I've not been able to determin any other causes to this and my team and i are starting to wonder if this is viral. Has anyone heard of a virus that would remove the domain registration on boot?

If you think it is viral, I'd suggest taking at least one of the infected machines off the network, and running some various scans.

For instance, you can run either of these live CDs:
Avira Rescue CD
DrWeb CureIt LiveCD

Also assuming they are Windows machines, you can download and run Malwarebytes Antimalware and SuperAntiSpyware, and see how things go there.

Report back.
