Possible video card problem any clues?

I have a fx5900 creative gfx card since i installed the card I have been maybe 2-3 times a day crashing to reboot. What makes me think its the gfx card is 2fold.

1: when the machine crashes i recieve i a high pitch white noice from my headphone followed by a small blue border down the left hand side for a milisecond before it reboots

2: The bios reading for my card before post says gf5900 bios, for Engineering use only, do not use for production.

I have no floppy drive on my system so i havent bios flashed yet to try , but have you any other ideas what it might be?

If I had one that said 'for Engineering use only', I would return it.

did you get that vid card from a computer store?
Engineering use only cards are not meant to be sold to consumers.

maybe it's one of those prototype cards better have it replaced with another one.
