Possible to upgrade 5410 problem batch?

When upgrading a site it turned out that 5 of the 50+ 5410s were from the batch referred to in thread940-1596636. Does anyone know if there is a way around this problem, or are they heading to the nearest garbage can?

You can trow them Away or you could try sending them for repair.
