Possible to tell size of photoshop file before saving?

Hi, that's my question: Possible to tell size of photoshop file before saving? Looked in the info palate, some # with 4.56M/5.45M, but they don't correspond to size of file as is without going through the savings process.

...during the saving process compression often takes place, depending on the format you choose, so the actual image data is often more, and more again when adding channels and layers etc...

Document Sizes:
Information on the amount of data in the image. The number on the left represents the printing size of the image—approximately the size of the saved, flattened file in Adobe Photoshop format.

The number on the right indicates the file’s approximate size, including layers and channels.

At the bottom of the photoshop window you're working on, beside the Horizontal Scroll bar (to the left)

There's an information window.

Using the Arrow beside the window brings up a menu. Choose Document sizes Information

The number on the left shows the printing size of the image—approximately the size of a saved flat file in psd or tiff format (if you save as jpg you will get smaller).

The number to the right shows the approximate size, including layers and channels, so saving all layers and channels in .psd or tiff format would get you approximately that size of a file.
