I have a client that uses Filemaker Pro under winxp with two PCs they share the DB. This client also has a Mac machine with a different release. Can these be shared amoung all three computers ? What is the best solution? NFS drive maybe? Right now it is a simple windows share.

You should be able to share the db between all as long as all are using similar versions, what version are they running.

Filemaker has always been good about sharing files like you describe, between platforms. You shouldn't have to do anything special to do it. Just open it on one of the pc's and use open remote on the Mac and navigate to it.

Everything will be OK in the end.

Twist is correct, and from your post the user may be sharing this incorrectly. The preferred way to share a Filemaker DB is to have one user open the actual file, and all the other users will use the "Open Remote" option in the file menu. This way the communication to the DB is handled through one "host" computer as opposed to each client accessing the file directly. If it is done this way the issue of the windows share will not matter. Filemaker will expose the DB to other FM clients automatically regardless of the OS.
