Hi All,

Here's my problem... I have a 2008R2 server that, among other things, is used to send outgoing faxes through the fax server. Most of the time this works OK but about 30% of the time a fax will go out and when received, looks as if the left and right page margins aren't correct. Every document sent has margins set to .25" left and right. Is is possible that the fax server is changing the margins to the default 1" left & right? If so, is there a way to modify this setting?

We didn't have this issue with Server 2003 and it's not feasible to change the document creation software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This isn't a server issue, it's an issue with the fax software. Rather than posting it, try to find a forum for that software. I know that it's only become and issue since upgrading to Server 2008, but it's more than likely that your fax software just needs an update because of something that the OS does slightly differently.

kmcferrin,

Thanks for the input. I'm not using any 3rd party fax software but rather the native fax software provided by the operating system. We create the report as a PDF file and then use the fax server as the transport method.
