Just a quickie... have a friend who is experiencing some problems with a RAID5 failure on his dedicated web server. He noticed his server was not working one day and submitted a support request. The engineers performed a media check and all was ok with the disks... however further inspection revealed a 'chasis failure'. Engineers recommended removing the array to an identical server.. this possible?

Anyways, this they did but no joy. After instally they discovered that the boot sector had become corrupt. The array is currently at a Data Recovery firm.. and my friend is quietly suspecious of the way the whole episode was handled... does this sound plausable?

Any help gratefully recieved!
