Possible to install of a 64 Bit CPU from a 32 Bit Controlworkst. ??

I have an older controlworkstation, that has a
32 Bit CPU running with AIX 4.3.3.

One wide node in our RS6000 frame has the possibility to run 64 bit applications with AIX 5.

Is it possible to install 64 Bit AIX 5. from the 32 Bit Controlworkstation running AIX 4.3.3

No, you have to update your CWS to 5.1 first to install it on a Node, afaik... The Kernel Version (32 or 64 bit) depends on the Hardware of each Box. You can use the 64 bit Kernel only if you have 64 bit Hardware...
