Hello All,

We have a Nortel Option 61C with an incoming PRI T1 from MCI. MCI sends us a DNIS of the final four digits of the number dialed. We would like to insert a digit.

For example:

MCI sends us a DNIS of 4343. We would like it to route to internal extension 24343. How do we get the Nortel to add the digit "2" prior to the DNIS or translate 4343 into extension 24343.

I know we can do this on our Avaya PBX's, but we are not sure the Nortel has this capability. If it does, please explain how it is done.

Thank you!

Hi ,

You need LD 49 IDC table

Create an IDC table,

LD 49
New
Type IDC
DCNO x (next unused one, 0 if the 1st)

IDGT xxxx (incoming range of digits say 4300 4399)

The system responds with the first in the range 4300:

4300:24300
4301:24300
etc etc for the whole range

or

IDGT 4
4:24

Will insert 2 infront of any call coming in with a 4 infront of it. Thus sending the call to 24xxx (reusing the last 3 digits)

Second choice is easier to install, just depends whether the range is OK to use this.

Lastly you need to make sure the inbound route references this DCNO table.
