I have a report that is formatted for users to look at online. Contains extra rows of descriptive information, logo, etc.

The online users are happy with the report and don't want any changes.

There is another group of users that need to download the report and import the downloaded report into various systems.

Is there a way that a downloaded report could be configured to be different than what the online users see? I would need to remove the extra rows of descriptive information, logo, etc.

I'm tempted to just create a 2nd report for the users that need to download the report. If there is a way to keep it to just 1 report, that would be preferrable.

Thanks!

In 2008+ its quite easy to do. Have a look at this article.

You just need to stick the correct formula in to hide\show bits for the correct render.

In 2005 the only way i have heard it being done is to use a parameter that the user selects if they want to hide the header. Then use the formula to hide based on this param.
