Hello all,

Small question: The high-low reorder tone you get if you dial an invalid code/extension (where the phone displays INVALID, Call Rejected, etc) - is that generated by the IP Office itself or is it a WAV file in the VM Pro server? I'd like to replace it with something a bit less harsh (a recording "The extension or code you've dialed cannot be used from this telephone." or something of the sort)

IP Office 500, 5.0[8] software version.

Thanks!

Depends a lot on your existing shortcodes/ARS settings. You can't change the tone the IP Office uses, but if your using something like 9 prefix for external calls, you can have a ? system shortcode to catch anything else and put it to a voicemail module with a "Why did you dial that?!" style prompt. But it will only catch dialing that hasn't matched a valid extension number or shortcode. Similar, if for example all your extensions are in the 200 to 299 range, a 2XX short code can be used for a "that extension doesn't exist" catch. Still a lot of work just to replace hangup and dial the right number behviour.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

I've done it Sizbut. Resorts like this stuff. I also have a message for attempted international. You're greeted with my lovely voice.

'No Daddy stop saying Denied.'
'Denied.'
