Possible to change number of columns in code?

Hi,

I posted another question earlier about this topic but I think this one might be more clear. I have
a report where I only want a subreport to print with
two columns. The rest of the report I want to print with
only one column. Does anyone know if it's possible
to change the column settings for a particular section of
a report with code? In my case, I only want to have two columns in the footer section of my report. Everywhere else
in the report, I only want one column.
