Hello All

Is there a way to print the layers on a QuarkXPress document without having to manually clicking to turn on Layer 1, print, then turn off Layer 1, turn on Layer 2, print, the turn off Layer 2, etc until you've printed all the layers.

Anyone figure out how to do this. I am using Quark 6.5 on the Mac.

Thanks in advance for any ideas on this.

hi kmc1,

You'll be a bit stuck there i think if trying to find an easy way out through the print dialogue. As far as I know Quark haven't thought this one through really.

Only idea i have is to copy the layers onto different pages, or have each layers elements in a separate colour assuming you have the artwork to be printed in one colour only and then print to separations, no good if you have more colours of course. But by that time you may as well just stick it out the manual way.

best of luck!

I had read of the separations trick on the Quark forums. Doesn't seem user friendly. There must be an easy way to manage text swings. Layers seems like the way to go except for the printing problem.
