I'm at 1.99GB for the database size (2,147,459,072 bytes) and I'm thinking the size is causing an error that simply says "Invalid Argument".

This MS article is the exact error:

I've never had problems with this database before, then it just starts giving me this error. Is that possible that an arbitrary error message could result from a full MDB?

Database is importing data by connecting to an Oracle database and a SQL Server database then doing audit/compare/duplicate reports off of the two tables the databses import into.

Next step is to split (I know I know) but just wondering if the size is what is causing this problem.

Most likely. 2gb is the limit.

Compact & Repair should be enforced regurarly for large importing + deleting.

Although it is time to use a real database, you could use more than one access database to keep data in and one master database having all tables linked. It is a workaround ...
