Hi, I experience a weird problem that we cannot found a cause of what happened.

I'm using an IBM A21M laptop running Win2000. I was connected to 2 different interface, 1 with a regular Ethernet connection thru my Ethernet port. and the other connection was via my serial port. I was loged in in both interface. I ping thru the CMD prompt 172.28.32.255 this is ping all the interface connected to this.

My problem is that we think that the ping get probably sent to both ports ( ETH & SERIAL) and make the interface connected to the serial port crash.

Is it possible that the PC sent it to both ports in the mean time....or it cause a network conflict if the pc wasn't setup properly... ( subnet or IP ).....

Thanks,
Sylvain

Post the output of "ipconfig /all" and "route print" commands when you are logged into both ethernet and serial for analysis.
