Hi all,
I haven't used Norstar Telephone System, I've just bough MICS V.6, if I use 3 digits of DN, I can use any number between 100 to 999 as the extension numbers without any limitation, can't I?

Thank you very much for your help,
Soisuda

You can run into some problems because by default some of the numbers are reserved ( but can be changed ) by the software. Like '2' is the default park code, '9' is the external code, and in Voicemail 100 is the General Delivery mailbox, '102' is System Admin, etc.
There are work-arounds, but generally it is easier to use the default DN #'s or adopt a numbering plan with few conflicts

Where can I get information about reserve number?

Thank you,
Soisuda

Check in the Installer Guide on the CD-ROM that came with the software package. Search for 'Access Codes'. It has a small chart with the defaults.

BTW 1 is default for Call Park and yes 9 is used but not default for outgoing but recommended, other then that you can start the DN range fron 2,3,4,5,6,7 or 8. The manual will not tell you more then what you have been told here.
