possibility to modify specific columns of list

Hi guys

I`m experimenting with Sharepoint, and want to know if its possible to give users authorisation to only modify specific columns instead of all of them.
Ill give you an example.

The records in my list have the following columns:
BookTitle Owner Review

I want only the owner to be able to modify the "owner" column.
(so first should be checked whether or not the owner is the current user)
Is this possible? Of can rights only be given on record level?
