Hello, I'm investigating the possibilities when using XSL FO to create PDF documents from an XML file.
Do you know if it is possible to create the following "clickable" techniques using XSL FO:
- Table of contents
- PDF bookmarks
- Index
- External links
- Internal links (links within the document)
Are they easy to create? Are any other tools needed?

The XSL-FO specification can be found here. You will find it a very rich specification, with those features you mentioned.

Then, it is a matter of whether the rendering engine can process the entire specification. If you intend to use Apache FOP, for example, you would want to study its compliance page. Likewise, before choosing a commercial rendering engine, you would want to check for those features.

A very quick look at the Apache compliance page leads me to believe that you can do everything except external links.
