Positouch Emergency Password

Every so often, a Positouch terminal will ask for "EMERGENCY PASSWORD" on the user punch in screen. None of us know what this is or how to change it. Can anyone help me with this? We have been having to close and re-open positerm every time this happens.

This is the redundant(backup) server kicking in. It usually means there's a network failure of some sort. You should check the primary server first and make sure it is communicating on the network. And your dealer would be able to tell you what the emergency password is.....typing it in will throw the system into backup mode, which is necessary if you have a hardware failure on the server....
