Hello. I need to find a way to decrease the instances of transparent gif in my pages. Currently the are used for positioning and spacing. I have used the margin-left and margin-top styles for positioning of images but I have another problem. If I try to use margin-left to position a nested table, it doesn't work with Netscape. I can use margin-top to position a nested table vertically, but margin-left will not work. Does anybody have any suggestions for positioning cross browser and cross platform without using transparent gifs?? All help is greatly appreciated.

does the table have text or something next to it, you could try just using the left property by itself: left:20px;

you might try looking here: to see if there are some other techniques you could use.
