I have a plain vanilla grid that displays all of the records from a table via placing the table in the form's data environment. How would I force the grid to automatically highlight the LAST record automatically in the grid instead of the first record whenever the form loads?

Have you ever thought of displaying the table in the grid in descending order. David W. Grewe

Thanks Chris.

Hey dgrewe,

The thought did occur to me but since the grid is a series of dates and the user is adding on consecutive records- your suggestion would not help in this case. My problem is simply to relieve the user from having to scroll to the bottom of the grid before they can enter their next period.

Chris,

Placing GO BOTTOM in the Init Event of the grid did not move the grid to the end of the records in it. Any suugestions?

Unable to replicate your problem.

Create new form, add grid, use builder, run form, record at top of grid? Yes/No?

Modify grid, add "GO BOTT" to THISFORM.Grid1.Init() event, run form, last record highlighted? Yes/No?

If "Yes" both occasions, problem lies elsewhere, and need further information to be able to help.
