has any has any thoughts ....regards

The IPad/Android systems all seem low cost but do the numbers and may you end up paying more in the long run than a PC based system. The monthly cost is only for the software license and support. You cannot drop support. You still have to provide the IPads, printers, cash drawers and wireless infrastructure. IPads are consumer products, try dropping one from 4 feet in the air. Figure you will probably get 2-3 years average on the IPads, 8-10 years on a Windows Terminal. Processing CCs might also cost you more however that is hard to know due to all the confusion in rates from processors.
Be wary of any company that isn't making a profit and doesn't expect to anytime soon.

great points, I have to upgrade to either Aloha or Micros, currently using Micros3700 with windons that is now compatible for the PCI compliance, use to have Aloha so am familiar with both systems, I like the layout of Aloha as its more fOH & BOH friendly vs micros ....appreciate any insight ....regards

You should look at other POS systems, get an idea of what's out there. POSitouch was the #2 selling software before Radiant bought Aloha, Digital Dining, Maitre D' and NCC are probably the next 3 best selling out there. DD just got bought by Heartland so you'd be dealing with a company like Aloha at some point. The rest are privately owned. I sell/support POSitouch, there is nothing that Aloha or Micros can do that POSitouch can't do and it's more of an open system so many more interfaces and integrations are available. Can't say a lot for the others but all are solid companies and have good dealers, some bad I am sure.
Middle of the road there are probably another dozen or so that have been around.
