POS system used by customers

Howdy,
I am in the process of opening a coffee shop and my idea is to integrate the POS system in such a way that it can be used directly by my customers using an iPad. In other words; the customer can order using our stationed iPads without the need for an employee.
What brand/software is recommended? and is this possible?

great idea, dont think anything exists out of the box.
