portmapper on server is not responding

Hello!

I install sco 5.0.5 on a HP 350ML- G3 when the server was operanting ok i need to install a multi I/O computone, the server has installed a second net board as the only slot to put it was that i unplug it at put the computone when i turn on the server all was OK but when i try to connect the server by telnet it does't responde an I saw a message that appear at the console:

WARNIG ! portmapper on server 186.15.64.23 is not responding

I unistall the NIC LAN by NETCONFIG and the EFS media but the problem continues.

How can i do to fix it?.

Check the contents of /etc/hosts and /etc/rc2.d/S85tcp against the outpout of the ifconfig -a command.
