Good morning everyone

We have an Option 61C Rls 3.0 that currently has a PRI provisioned by Verizon with all of our DID blocks. We are looking to move away from Verizon and Port DID service to another carrier who is also providing us with a fresh PRI. The new PRI has been installed and activated but the DID porting has not been scheduled yet. The new PRI carrier has provided test DIDs to make a sure everything will work as it should. My question is how would I create a test scenario so I could test with the test DIDs on the current switch? I have a spare DTI/PRI port already programmed on the switch with trunk groups but I'm just not sure how to test this. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm assuming when the time comes I should just be able to unplug Verizon and plug the new carrier PRI into the old loop.

Thank you

I'm guessing that you will have a new DID range and if so, you will probably require a new IDC table to route your incoming calls.

I would create a few test entries to see if it works incoming and once this has been done to add in the rest of your DID and extension numbers.

As for outgoing, you will at some point need to add in a new RDB from your new PRI circuit and this can be added in as another outgoing route or to replace the existing one once the link is ceased.
