Porting a New Pilot DID # to Magix 2

I have a Merlin Magix where they have a T1 with 100 DID's coming into it. They have an outside number that being Remote-call-fwd to one of the phone numbers (ex XXX-9400 is remote-call-fwd to xxx-3537 which is one of the DID numbers already programmed).

They want to port-over the XXX-9400 number to the xxx-3537 to get rid of all the toll-charges.

Question: What programming in the MAgix will be needed to accept the XXX-9400 and have it ring into the Magix the same way as the xxx-3537 with the least amount of programming and/or down time?

Is your T1 provider flexible enough to send 3537 when 9400 is called? Is it a PRI or straight T1? Are you receiving 4 digits now?

If the NXX is in the same CO switch just have the number added to the trunk group as a DID number. The digits you receive would depend on what the Magix is receiving now. If you get 3 digits then the Magix gets 400, if 4 digits, it gets 9400.

Then you can System Renumber the destination in the Magix to the new number.

Well we did it! Using you suggestion they were able to add the xxx9400 number to the DID table and send xxx3537 to the Magix and I got paid for doing nothing, and I am a hero for saving them $Hundreds per month in Remote Call Fwd fees!
