Good morning All,
I hope it is ok to post an IIS related question regarding FTP.
I have been asked to implement a restricted MS FTP (passive mode) data port range using 'PassivePortRange' metadata property.
My question is perhaps a noddy one, I am interested in the relationship between restricting the port range and the impact on the performance of ftp to server lots of clients?
More specifically is there any log files / information stores which will provide information on if the FTP port restriction is actually impacting the performance of FTP?
Further, I would like to load test this? I presume i just need say 10 client machines and run up 50+ instances of a command line FTP session to the FTP server and see what happens?
Thanks all.
