I have 3 switches

2 x 3824 (firmware 2.0)
1 x 4250T (firmware 2.5)

A 3824 (well call this switch A) is connected with a straight through to 4250T then the 4250T is connnected with a straight through to the other 3824 (well call this switch B).

The 3824a port shows 100FD & media type 10/100/1000
The 4250T port shows 1000FD & media type 10/100
The 3824b port shows 100FD & media type 10/100/1000

My network has a port mismatch. All ports are auto enabled and should pick up 1000FD. The 3824 has a flaw not even a firmware can fix. The 3824 can't be set to manual to be configured to 1000FD. If i do manual it only goes as far as 100FD. If i left the 3824 on auto and change the advertising capacity to 1000FD then everything don't work, not even the Internet. It throws everything off. If i leave it like this with the port mismatch then everything works but then we have bottle necks GLORE.

What I really want to do is aggregate 2-4 ports but how can i aggregate if these ports are not the same configuration to begin with??
