We are looking into a VPN solution. what I need to know before I can complete my report is; do I have to map additional ports in the VPN device to allow an application and it's database to be accessed. As of right now the connection will be VPN device to VPN device with a trust relationship setup between the servers (NT4.0 to WIN2K)

Thanks in advance, Thom

You should not have to open any additional ports. With the VPN endpoints connected, it should seem to the machines as if you are in the same office. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong... Thanks,

Matt Wray
