Our company just acquired a new company in another state which has Exchange Server 2003. We plan on moving everything over from their 2003 Exchange Server to our 2007 Exchange server.

I wanted to see if there was some sort of export utility or easy way of doing this. Any KB's on this or useful information contributed to this thread would be awesome.

Thanks,

Joe

How are you handling AD migration? If you just need to dump the mailboxes, look into exmerge. Plenty of Google articles on how to use it.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

Also look at Quest Exchange Migration.
Very expensive, and may be complete overkill for what you require but works well once you get your head round it and can also do AD accounts, PC's etc. if you add those modules on.

Yeah, the big question is the AD migration. If you're doing the poor man's approach and just creating new objects in your domain, then exmerge is what you need.

If you're doing an AD migration using ADMT or similar tools, then the Quest (or other suitable tool) is the better approach.

Thanks for the posts guys. I guess we're going to be creating their user accounts manually here and importing the PSTs. I was able to successfully use exmerge for the export and was able to then import it into Exchange 2007 with no problems. Good thing it's only 30 accounts.
