Port Forwarding??

I am setting up a Sutus system as my VOIP equipment. It will be connected to my Cisco 891 LAN port. I have a static block and want to keep my SUTUS system on the Public IP if at all possible because of the problems with NATTing with VOIP.
So can I just assign the Sutus system the IP and being that it will be a member of VLAN 3 it should be connected so it should have no problems with going in or out, correct? Or should I just assign the Sutus systems IP as a secondary IP on the WAN interface and then use static NAT or port forwarding?
ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thanks ahead

It all depends on whether you can route in for the subnet your SUTUS IP address is in. Doesn't sound like it will work on the "Cisco 891 LAN port", unless your public IP range exists on this subnet which it probably won't.

It's probably more likely that you would put it in your DMZ, because it's more likely your public IP range can exist there.

I don't have any real idea of your network topology, so that's the first informaiton I would gather.

I would then get the documentation for your SUTUS and check the various implementation scenarios to find one that matches what you have and what you want.

From there I would probably have enough to come up with a design.
