Hi, I recently got ADSL and it came with a ALCATEL SPEED TOUCH PRO 4 port modem/router whatever.....and i could not connect to this game. I rang up my ISP and they said that the modem that i have stores the ip address etc inside the modem/router, and need to use port forwarding if i can find apatch for it or whatever.

Does anyone know of a patch for sometyhing so i can use port forwarding?/
Please Help.;

Contact Alcatel and inquire with them on how to forward ports. Then contact the game site to find out which ports to forward. The ports must be TCP/UDP ports.

i already know how to forward 1 port at a time, but this game is like 400 ports it needs!!
I tryed to telnet modem by doing it and doing nat
but instead of from there doing 1 port at time, there is the command of defserver addr= blah blah to get all ports to forward but it did not work so i dunno wat to do!

Did you see anything in the documentation on setting up a DMZ (de-militarized zone) host? For games, this is often the easiest solution -- it puts your game PC out on the internet "directly", with all incoming requests, regardless of port, being directed to that one machine. So, you can put your PC in the DMZ, play the game, and then move it back out when you're done. I'd suggest a software firewall as well, if you're safety conscious.

This may or may not exist on the Alcatel, but I've successfully used it on a Linksys.

Good luck...

thanks i already got this problem resolved by demanding managers over and over and i got my way by some new way which is still abit faulty, but it works, but they just fixed it thanks to my help and im the first person to get the cd, so yes thanks for ure helps anyways
