Hello, I have been attempting to setup port forwarding on a server that is acting as our gateway/routing and remote services server. The attempt it to be able to tag a SQL server within the network from a remote location without having to use terminal services.

Originating PC
123.123.123.10

Hits Modem via IP address 321.321.321.321:1433 (default port for MSSQL)

Routing and Remote Server forwards request to server on local network IP 192.168.0.5

I hope I have given enough information for some assistance; my brain is slightly mush at this point and I could really use the help.

Thank you in advance.

Add 1434 also. Oh... and make sure you've set up separate NAT's for both TCP and UDP.

Hmm... Now that I think about it, I think that SQL uses 1433 for initial connection and then directs client to connect on an ephemeral port. You may want to try some google searches for SQL through firewalls.
