Hi guys,

Would like to enquire is there any specific port i should open for Symantec to auto-update to work?

Right now, alot of ports have been closed, and other than opening port 80, Symantec would not be able to update.

I know my server uses 21 to ftp to symantec for daily updates.. but I dont know off the top of my head what live update uses.

for now i only know port 80...

the only way i could think is to open the blocked port (80) during lunch time and have it updated..
hmm..

Symanctec LiveUpdate uses TCP ports: 21, 80 and 443

Just FYI
The following Document ID:2005033011582148 is a full list of all TCP & UDP ports used for various services. If you visit Syamntec's web site, just search for that ID#. I would have pasted the link but it was miles, and miles long :)

Good Luck.
