Port filtering on Netbuilder II SI

I am wondering if anyone has a step by step for programming a Netbuilder II SI, os version 11.3 so that it will filter trafic on certain ports going to/from our incoming Internet T1? I have looked at the documentation and it seems a little cryptic, I am hesitant to start applying the rules on a router which is in production.
