Sun solaris 5.6
I am using third party gui application which is installed on this unix server. I want to find out port no;protocol details;socket details for that application and what is difference between port and socket ?
Please help.. urgently..

try 'snoop ipofyourclient' (on Sun) to see traffic between Sun and your machine; use 'snoop -v ipofyourclient' to have verbose output of the packages.

Port vs. Socket: please rd. this
