I was hoping someone could help me identify a connection to a test server running IIS for port 80. Is there a command or applciation so that I could make a connection and see the status in IIS? I'm trying to use IIS for IP Phones and not sure if I have a DHCP issues, netowrking issue, IIS issue and would like to start ruling things out.

what happens when you fire up your browser and type Also run netstat on the server to ensure that it is listening on port 80. Hope this helps

netstat -oa has the port listening and opening the browser I get the under construction page so all seems well there but no phone downloads...

Your IIS is functioning correctly, in order to be able to open the webpage for your site/application you will need to define in the website properties where the main page is located. The "Under Construction Page" is the default.htm file
