We have an application that runs through port 6000 from one building to another, like this:
Infinite36 client application software over LAN to Win2K Server >>
ADSL/fixed IP address, NetGear ProSafe FVS338 - WAN connection - through Smoothwall to Win2K PDC at our other building >>
Data is pulled from our IMS and fed back out to the Infinite36 clients, with data round tripping back through WAN.
Connections are timing out over WAN/port 6000 but LAN connection for trhe same software does not time out.
No firewall entries coincide with this.
Anyone got any clues here ?
It's driving me up the wall and I can't figure out why an aplication running from LAN, through WAN, to LAN and back again on port 6000 keeps bombing out.
