port 1027 1

after the installation of nav 2002 on win98 i have ALWAYS the tcp port 1027 listening (checked with netstat),is it normal ?

Another question:
sometimes port tcp+udp kpop-1109 are "listening" too.
Is this always related to NAV 2002?

According to RFC3232 (Assigned numbers -

http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers),

ports 1026-1029 are unassigned.

The same article says that 1109 is "Reserved by IANA", IANA being Internet Assigned numbers Authority, the governing body for assigning port numbers.

1027 is likely a connection your system has opened, rather than a service you are running. 1024 is the first dynamically assigned port on a system.

Well,

today i' ve checked my pc (port 1027) at

http://www.anti-troyan.net:

zone alarm pop-up intrusion-alert say that this is a port (protected) assigned to "Norton Antivirus Agent".

It' s look that NAV 2002 is very different to 2001 one.

In NAV 2001 there was no open ports by "default" (yes, because with 2002 version the port 1027 are listening when i start my pc not only when i go to the internet).
